Abstract

Se notifica el fallecimiento del Dr. MIgual Ávila Díaz, insigne salubrista con una rica trayectoria, quien vuera Vicedirector de la Dirección Provincial de Salud de Cienfuegos y ocupara otros cargos y asesorías en el MInisterio de Salud Pública y organismos internacionales.

Por sus condiciones revolucionarias, su trayectoria de servicio, su carisma, su elevada preparación profesional y vocación docente el Dr. Miguel Avila Díaz es y será recordado siempre por sus compañeros, alumnos y amigos, especialmente en Cienfuegos, a donde llegó muy joven como parte de un pequeño grupo de talentosos y comprometidos salubristas formados por la Revolución para impulsar el desarrollo de los servicios y programas de Salud en esta región del centro sur del país. Su ejemplo y su memoria servirán de inspiración para las futuras generaciones de médicos y salubristas cubanos.
