Public health in a look at scientific movements of integration in health institutions in Cuba

Integrative science movements such as: the Youth Technical Brigades, the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers and the Science and Technology Forum have been created to stimulate work in multidisciplinary teams in the field of innovation and invention. As well as channel the introduction and generalization of technical scientific results obtained with the active participation of the masses in carrying out activities of high importance in science every year. The objective of this research is to characterize the scientific movements for the integration of science in Cuban health institutions in recent years. A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out by the department of innovation and evaluation of health technologies of the national direction of science and technological innovation of the Ministry of Public Health. The indicators of each movement were used as variables, the results appear in tables and graphs for a better understanding and analysis of each of them according to province. There are 811 brigades in the country and 20 169 brigades in the Youth Technical Brigades; the number of brigades and associates in the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers was increased. In 2019, 1,801 basic events of the Forum were carried out, where 168,134 people participated, 44,189 papers were presented, of which 9,442 were awarded.
