Abstract

Se presenta la tesis doctoral que presenta las Características de la respuesta individual y comunitaria en la epidemia de COVID- 19 y pertinencia de las medidas de control en La Habana durante el año 2020. El trabajo evidencia la contribución de las categorías epidemiológicas al desarrollo de la epidemia en La Habana en el estudio de los brotes seleccionados. La Habana presentó la segunda mayor incidencia del país, se produjeron dos oleadas de la enfermedad, las edades más afectadas fueron de 20 a 39 y 40 a 59 años de edad sin diferencias en cuanto al sexo. Predominaron los casos autóctonos y asintomáticos. En ambos brotes, las variables socio-demográficas se comportaron de manera similar; los síntomas referidos fueron fiebre, tos seca, cefalea y mialgias. Hubo diferencias en cuanto a la fuente de infección y las secuelas fueron la cefalea, la disnea, mialgias e insomnio. Las medidas tomadas por el gobierno y el MINSAP lograron un control de la epidemia en el año 2020.
