Ministro de Salud Pública de Cuba. Miembro de honor de las Sociedades:científicas de Salud Pública, de Higiene y Epidemiología y Medicina Familiar. Profesor e Investigador Titular de la Escuela  Nacional  de  Salud  Pública,  Doctor  en  Ciencias  de  la  Salud. Especialista de I y II Grado en Medicina General Integral, de II Grado en: Organización  y  Administración  de  Salud,  y  en  Higiene  y  Epidemiología, Máster en Longevidad satisfactoria.
