Se rinde homenaje de recordación al Dr. Sergio del Valle Jiménez, destacado luchador revolucionario, General de División y Héroe de la República de Cuba, médico obstetra graduado en 1954, combatiente de la lucha clandestina desde su querido Hospital de Maternidad América Arias, miembro del Ejército Rebelde a las órdenes de su inolvidable jefe, Camilo Cienfuegos. Quien se desempeñó en varios cargos entre los que estuvo el de Ministro del Interior y más tarde Ministro de Salud Pública.
