Measuring leadership development

The provision of data and evidence in budgetary decision-making aimed at human capital programs is, in the opinion of experts in the field, an area lagging behind in companies, despite the recognition of the importance of monitoring and evaluating the investments made in this regard. The book that is reviewed focuses on leadership development and is presented as a suggestive manual for professionals in need of skills and knowledge to collect, measure and report on the results of training. The authors instruct on a process that takes place through five levels of measurement: reactions, learning, application and effects on the enterprise, and return on investment. In addition, a set of ideas is presented to help understand why leadership development and analysis are increasingly important to an organization's growth and success.Downloads
