Abstract
RESUMEN
Se presenta un programa en Excel (Microsoft Office) que Automatiza el Registros de Nacimientos y Cálculo de indicadores del Programa de Atención Materno Infantil sobre el uso de los indicadores en la Dirección Municipal de Salud. El programa calcula 41 indicadores, los principales son: Tasa de Mortalidad Infantil, Tasa de Mortalidad Fetal Tardía, Índice Bajo Peso al Nacer, Índice Partos Extrahospitalarios, Tasasde Mortalidad Materna, Pre-escolar y Escolar mediante la fórmula correspondiente. El programa calcula automáticamente los subtotales para los trimestres, semestres, nonestre y año. Se ofrecen comentarios acerca de la interpretación de los indicadores calculados. Permite almacenar la información primaria sobre las tareas del entorno a controlar, permitir la toma de decisiones, disminuye el gasto de llamadas telefónicas y mejora la eficiencia y confiabilidad del trabajo del departamento de estadísticas,una influencia positiva en el procesodocente e investigativo y se recomienda su generalización a otras regiones del país.
