Abstract

Introducción: La revisión externa por pares o “peer review” es un proceso de evaluación usado tanto en las revistas científicas como para la concesión de premios, financiamientos y/o aprobación de proyectos de investigación.

Objetivo: Proponer un indicador o índice para estimular el trabajo del revisor en Cuba.

Desarrollo: El indicador propuesto fue el Índice del Revisor: IR=Ʃ (trabajo revisado) (Factor de impacto de la revista) (índice H).

Conclusiones: A partir de alternativas existentes se propone un indicador o índice que toma en cuenta la experiencia del revisor como autor y la calidad de la revista donde le solicitan su trabajo como revisor.
