Abstract

La aparición de un nuevo tipo de influenza en el mes de abril del año 2009 trajo consigo una importante respuesta organizada a nivel mundial.

La cepa del virus de la Influenza A (H1N1) es un nueva variante que no se ha visto anteriormente, ni en seres humanos ni en animales.

Cuba, teniendo en cuanta la situación planteada y el riesgo que representa la pandemia de Influenza A (H1N1), ha adoptado un conjunto de medidas en cumplimiento de las indicaciones emitidas por el Estado Mayor de la Defensa Civil y el Ministerio de Salud Pública. En la lucha contra el virus de la influenza deben participar todos los niveles y áreas de trabajo del Ministerio de Salud Pública. Es necesario que los directivos del sistema mantengan la sensibilización y responsabilidad con el cumplimento de cada una de las orientaciones que están emanando de los niveles técnicos administrativos responsabilizados con la yugulación de este problema de salud en Cuba.
