Organisational climate at Faculty Medical Sciences in Mayabeque province.

Introduction: The organizational climate is one of the determining factors for organizational and management processes, in order to obtain convenient results for both the worker and the institution. Objectives: To characterize the organizational climate of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Mayabeque and to evaluate the perception of it by occupational groups during the period from January to October of 2017.Method: Cross-sectional descriptive, qualitative, quantitative observational study. The universe and the sample was the total number of workers of the institution, the information was obtained through observation, interview and survey with the Organizational Climate Health Assessment instrument. Teachers, non-teachers and managers were surveyed and interviewed. An analysis of absolute and relative frequencies was applied, as well as the differences of means and the homogeneity test of the variances.
Results: An average age of 44,1 years was observed, with predominance of the female sex and a time of work of 10 years at the institution. Difficulties are perceived in motivation, communication and interpersonal relationships, work conditions, stimulation to organizational development, participation and the resolution of conflicts that classify as categories at risk. Functioning, leadership and teamwork classified as adequate. There were no significant differences in the perception of the organizational climate between teachers and non-teachers; but yes between these and the managers.
Conclusions: The evaluation of the organizational climate of the FCMM globally classified with a risk score.
