Organizational and control actions for the care of the infertile couple in Cuba

Abstract

Introduction: Health managers are required to master the functions of planning, organization and control to guarantee adequate functioning and better results in the comprehensive care program for infertile couples.

Objective: To provide health managers with information on the organization and control of the program of comprehensive care for infertile couples.

Development: The levels of care, the organization and flow of infertile couples through the network of services, the methodology and the scenarios for the control of its operation were described. The indicators that made it possible to evaluate the results were presented and the functions of the professional in charge of coordinating the program in the provinces and municipalities were defined.

Conclusions: Information is provided to health managers about organizational actions, work system, indicators, functions and administrative control, which will allow supporting the optimal attention to the infertile couple in Cuba.
