Maternal and Child Program: Priority for public health even in the midst of COVID-19

Introduction. The results of the Maternal and Child Program in 2021 are not as expected each year. They could not be in the midst of the most brutal pandemic that the country and the world have experienced.Objective: to present to the Health and Sports Commission of the Cuban Parliament, in the ordinary meeting of the ninth legislature, the results and measures for next year of the Maternal and Child Program.Results: COVID-19 in Cuba has had an unfavorable impact on the Maternal and Child Program during the year 2021, so the indicators obtained, the gaps and problems that affect these results are analyzed and a plan of measures is proposed that allows your recovery.
Conclusions: The commitment to execute the plan of measures is reiterated and in this way to consolidate and defend the Maternal and Child Program in each Cuban community and family. Working correctly is the most effective way to defend life, which is also to safeguard the future of Cuba.
